Which currencies can be used for gaming?

Gaming at Casinò Lugano is carried out in Swiss Francs, but you can exchange various currencies at our cash desks, including Euros, Dollars and Pounds Sterling.

Is there a particular dress code to follow?

Black tie dress is not compulsory within Casinò Lugano; all items of clothing, stylish or casual, are allowed so long as clients dress decently and smartly. Men are permitted to wear Bermuda shorts with smart sandals, and flip-flops are allowed if worn with trousers. Sleeveless T-shirts and vests, sportswear, beachwear, scruffy clothes and hats and caps should be avoided.

No. On entry we request ID solely and exclusively to carry out a video check, and do not record any details.

Minors and those with a gambling order/ban are not allowed to access the casino.

Yes. You must bring a valid document written in Latin characters: passports or identity cards that allow cross-border travel; driving licences; Swiss residence permits for foreigners, if the details have been verified by an extended official check (B, C, Ci, G, L); diplomatic residence permits; Swiss residence permits issued for Confederation, Canton or Municipality staff; or the Casinò Lugano customer card. To protect your privacy, personal details are not recorded on the casino’s computer system. The check is made solely to ensure you are authorised to access the casino in accordance with legislation to prevent problem gambling.
